Erzsebet stared at her body in the mirror. It was perfect, flawless, not an imperfection to speak of. Perfect, except one thing... she had miscarried Taylor's child at 3 months and kept it a secret from Taylor. She'd known for a week now, and still couldn't muster the courage to tell her mate.
Hearing footsteps coming from the stairs, she shuffled around in the room and laid on the bed. Taylor opened the door and asked "Erzsie, are you alrigt? Your thoughts are louder than you think, love."
Erzsebet sat up straight and said "You know about...?" Sighing, she whispered, her voice unusually meek and helpless "I'm sorry, baby... It wasn't my intention to lose the baby..."
Taylor could feel the pain in his mate's voice. "Oh, my love... don't let this upset you too much, dear..." Erzsebet sat up and muttered "This has shown me how cruel I am, Taylor..." She just wanted one of her girls to come comfort her.

Nimue was in her potion shack, which was just outside her house and she'd blown something up again, so with a loud bang and a lot of smoke, she came out of the shack coughing.
"Damn...too much toad..." She coughed as she opened the door to let the smoke out. Dante came rushing out and over to her with a worried look on his face.
"Too much toad?" He asked just by looking at the smoke and Nimue nodded. He kissed her sweetly, told her to be more careful and left. She locked up the shack once it was de-smoked and went for a walk. She'd been feeling off for days, sick even and it was like her magic was playing up. She should have known to be careful with the toad and she should have been able to control it, but nothing. It was like her magic was wasting away. She shook herself mentally at thinking of such a silly notion. She'd been a witch for over 200 years, there was no way she was losing her magic.
She went past Erzsie's house and practically feel the sadness that radiate from this house. Something was off, something had happened. Nimue decided to go and see house Erzsebet was. She knew no harm would come to her as Nimue didn't have a heartbeat, she'd lost it when she was 25 when she decided to be immortal, so her blood was not interesting to Erzsie, her daughter's was because she was 2 and still mortal and human till 18, but not Nimue.
She knocked on the door and waited for it to be opened. "Erzsebet? Taylor? It's Nimue, the witch."

Hearing a knock, Taylor rushed down the stairs. I'll be back, my love he mind-linked to his beloved upstairs, and ran to the great oak door. His hand lingered in front fof the knob, and eventually he opened it. As would be expected, he saw one of the other Heads - Nimue was it? - standing in the doorway.
"Please don't tell me you want to discuss the rules with Erzsie again. She feels she knows them well enough, and We're kind of... going through a rough time right now. Come in if you'd like, but she's kind of... upset."
Erzsebet couldn't bear this any longer. What the hell was taking Taylor so long to answer the door? Hearing him whispering, she crept down the stairs and rested her head on his shoulder. Seeing Nimue, she hid her belly, and muttered a meek 'Hi...', so different from her usual authoritative voice.
Taylor wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead, cradling her lovingly. A tear slid down Erzsebet's cheek; she didn't want to tell Nimue what had happened, as the witch could easily use her powers to find out anyway, but something was different about her, about her manner, about, well... everything.

Nimue wasn't here about rules, personally she could barely follow them herself. No, she was here because she sensed something. "Rules? You think I'm here about rules. I barely follow them. No, I-um-well I felt something off in this house and I wanted to make sure everyone is ok."
Nimue walked into the house like she was invited and stood before the couple. She could feel the love that raidated off of them, but there was also a huge wash of sadness. Sometimes being an empath sucked.
"Is everything ok? Can I help you with anything?"

Erzsebet nuzzled her head into Taylors shoulder and let the tear flow. She tried to say what was wrong, but the only intelligible thing said amidst all the sobbing was "No...more...b-baby... I'm c-cursed, Nimue..." Taylor brushed his fingertips on his mate's face, and nuzzled her back.
"It's alright, my love... we can try again later, when you feel better..." Looking at Nimue, he said. "Remember when we first met, and she was pregnant? She isn't anymore, sad to say... I think it just happened today-"
"Actually" Erzsebet said sorrowfully, "it happened a week ago... I just didn't tell anybody until now..." Erzsebet huddled on the ground, whimpering like a puppy that was kicked in the streets, a string of "I'm sorries" coming out of her mouth.
Then she looked at Nimue and whispered, loud enough for the witch to hear, "Can you do me a favor Nimue? Can you grab that silver pocket knife over there and kill me? I don't deserve this life if I can't give the same to somebody else..."
